Muktzeh Game
משחק מוקצה
Learning from one Korean show how to enforce halakhic rigor.
In the Squid Game, lessons of trust, mistrust, selfishness and altruism are learned through a vivid, life-and-death game. Here we have an equally high-stakes competition where the rules of the game are those of Muktzeh which have been laid down over the centuries by Talmudic authorities. The rules of Muktzeh (מוקצה), which means "set aside", define what can be moved during the Sabbath or Jewish holidays. Can our protagonists make it through the Muktzeh Game without violating those rules?

"There are two general categories of Muktzeh: 1) items which are useless (absolute Muktzeh) and 2) items that are used for a prohibited purpose (partial Muktzeh). Items in the first category are generally useless or may not be used at all on Shabbat." Halachipedia
We don't have to worryh about the usefulness of an egg which has a use on Shabbat as food. Right? Wrong! It could not have been planned as food for Shabbat because it was born on the Shabbat (נולד גמור). "Born", that is, the egg was laid that Shabbat. You don't want to have a messy floor unworthy of the Sabbath, so although you cannot pick up that newly laid egg, you can indirectly move it. That involves moving it in a way you would not do usually during the week. For example, it is permitted to use your foot to move the egg.
